Sound Therapy
Are you qualified?

Yes, I have a Diploma qualification with the British Academy of Sound Therapy.

What experience do you have?

I completed my sound diploma that ran for two years in 2004. In the summer of 2005, I also completed a short training with Jonathan Goldman, who is a renowned sound healer & trainer. I started using healing sounds for self-help in 2000 & have educated people on its benefits ever since.

In October 2007 I also became a Hado instructor with Dr Emoto's organisation. His worldwide organisation is pioneering research on the healing messages and power of water.

Is it safe?

Yes, sound therapy is categorised as a low risk therapy for insurance purposes & is suitable for all ages. The only contra-indications to know about are the first three months of pregnancy & acute mental health issues. You can contact me to discuss your individual concerns.

Can I combine treatments with allopathic medicines?

Absolutely. There is no evidence of contra-indications. My feeling is that it can help further, by reducing side effects, stress & helping to solve the root cause of the condition. Please take advice from a medical professional, if in any doubt.

Can it help with my health challenge?

Yes, in most cases. This can be immediate, through the relief of pain & other physical complaints, to the relief of stress & anxiety,or a deep spiritual experience that is transformational. Whether the effects are immediate or not, the pure tones can only have a positive effect on the body, chakras & the aura.

What can I expect from a treatment or sound bath?

Most people feel safe & find deep states of relaxation during a session. Many people over the years have reported seeing colour with their eyes shut & often sensed things shifting & aligning in their bodies. Others have reported a sense of stillness & a dreamlike state, which feels very nourishing. A lot of people feel rejuvenated, more aware & positive after sound session.

Do I need to keep having treatments & sound baths to maintain the benefits?

Not necessarily. If you are prepared to make positive life changes & learn simple self help techniques, including using healing sound yourself, diet, exercise or other healing modalities, you will usually find that you can maintain your health & wellbeing. You may choose to have intermitent sound work to help you through when the going gets tough. My aim is to help you to help yourself.

How often do I need to attend?

You will know, but I usually advise three treatments initially, over a maximum of six weeks. This allows the body to adjust itself to these new frequencies. Once the energy system & body has been brightened up energetically, ongoing healing sound will be integrated & utilised more effectively. You will soon know when you are out of balance & needing further sound treatments.

How does sound differ from other therapies?

There are crossovers with other healing modalities. Our bodies however are constructed on a scaffolding of sound frequencies, or vibrations, that allow healing sounds to easily rebalance & restore problematic areas, whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. This means that healing sound does have a positive & sometimes instant effect on any health challenge.
